BT Professional Services is hiring Information Security Consultants to expand its consultancy capabilities. As an Information Security Consultant, you are responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating the security of systems, networks, applications and procedures to protect customers? information.
The Information Security Consultant identifies potential threats and responds to reported security violations in a customer ICT environment. He/she determines causes of security violations and recommends corrective action to ensure data security.
You will support /develop the IT Security policy, strategy and security procedures for the customers, meaning procedures that support the business aims and takes into account legal, regulatory, Human Rights and policy constraints.
The ideal candidate researches and recommends changes to the customer?s business procedures and systems to enhance information systems security. He/she assists in communicating security procedures to users, and works with other areas of the organisation to identify potential areas of risk.
Profile
? Master?s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Information Security or equivalent experience
? Good knowledge of the ISO/IEC 2700x security standards family is required, knowledge of ITIL is a plus
? Experience in risk management and risk assessment is a must
? Ability to work with different technological solutions while remaining technology agnostic is required
? CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer certifications are a plus
? Ability to work effectively under tight circumstances
? Capable to work in team as well as independently
? Good knowledge of English is required
? At least 3 years of experience as a Security
Consultant or as a Security Officer will be required
