Junior System Engineer
Function:
Technology engineer with general infrastructure experience (i.e. data centres consolidations, SAN/NAS, server virtualisation, knowledge on OS ? Applications i.e. SharePoint).
The Systems Engineer will provide technical direction and participate in Systems Engineering and solution deployment activities.
? Perform system engineering analysis, design, installation and deployment
? Install, configure and test server software
? Testing end-user device functionality and interoperability
? Work closely with network administrators, DBA, developers and application groups, specifically concerning end-user device performance
? Provide detailed documentation of systems and desktop application configuration
? Provide training to support staff on server and desktop maintenance and troubleshooting
? Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a complex system settings
? Continuously improve system engineering processes, productivities, and documentation
? Create internal and customer-oriented documentation
? Other duties as required by business conditions or as assigned
Profile:
? Bachelor or Master degree in information technology/computer science or similar by experience
? Certifications or similar by experience is a definite plus
? Can-do attitude
? Self-motivated and quick-learner
? Willing to work with a flexible work schedule
? Ability to work effectively under tight circumstances
? Capable to work in team as well as independently
? Ability to anticipate problems and develop effective solutions
? Good knowledge of English is required, Dutch and/or French is a plus
? Recent graduates are welcome
