Function:

The portfolio manager will be in a pro active specialist role, translating customer and market requirements in BT solutions with sales arguments and USPs. The PS portfolio manager represents both service wraps around global standard capabilities as the local developed capabilities and is responsible for the product life cycle management for a set of product wraps or product combinations. This includes P&L responsibility, positioning and launching the range of PS ?soft wraps? around the GS products in the Benelux:

- UCC, ITS, Mobility, Security (Our advanced technologies and value add service portfolio)
- Network, voice (Our core infrastructure and service portfolio)

The PS portfolio manager is intermediary between sales, technical consultants, global products, operations and the PS organisation. The portfolio manager acts as the ?owner? of the appointed portfolio and as such provides sales support, prepares presentations for sales management and sales, executes product demonstrations and interfaces with other internal groups.
Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process.

The main purpose of the role is to:

? Develop and launch products - Solutions (in close cooperation with technical specialists and global product lines) for the Benelux market;
? Actively manage the portfolio on profitability and competitiveness from launch to withdrawal (product life cycle management);
? Challenge the global product line on the global portfolio;
? Secure end-to-end delivery of the products with the internal and external suppliers;
? Set up a competitive pricing strategy around PS services to be successful in the BT selected markets and meet the BT Global Services goals on margin and revenue.
? Develop a product roadmap (based on market insight) with accompanying business cases and manage the roadmap on time and budget
? Be the trusted advisor for the sales force enabling them to identify and close business with a competitive portfolio and strategy
? To be responsible for strategic alignment, planning, budgeting and investment, supplier relationships and cost control, quality of service, development of SoRs, management of development and launch plans, customer satisfaction, supporting and driving the sales channels and marketing, product information, working with operations and service delivery on feature enhancement, and cost reduction, working with sales on specials/bids, legal and regulatory obligations, supporting and influencing Industry Forums and User Groups, interaction with customers, complaints handling and the management of relevant complex projects

Qualifications Specialist Skills and Experience :

? Strong understanding of IT, IT Infrastructure, hosting and managed application services.
? Familiarity with ITIL, outsourcing/outtasking, Managed IT infrastructure and IT services (Microsoft, Storage, SBC and internet security solutions).
? Regional in-country market knowledge and experience
? Presales or product management experience (e.g. P&L calculations, proposal writing) in at least two of our portfolio area?s; UCC, Security, ITS, Mobility, Network, Voice
? Presentation skills
? ITIL & service management knowledge
? PRINCE2 certification/knowledge is an asset
? Experience in working in complex organisational environment

General Skills and Experience :

? Outstanding communicator, both written and oral, excellent presenter
? Ability to translate requirements from sales (customers) and market developments into competitive solutions
? Trusted advisor for sales and other key stake holders in product lines
? An international multicultural approach, ability to manage and work in virtual teams
? Well organised and efficient, able to report accurately and meet deadlines
? >5 years experience in consultant or product management roles, proven track record.
