BT Senior Client Business Development Manager in Hong Kong

Purpose Of Role :

The mission of this role is to enable the pull-through of BT Product and Services through the delivery of consulting services, own demand generation for new-to-market Industries Solutions portfolio enabled out of the UK, and execution of local AMEA strategy projects. In consultation with the Head of Consulting, the market unit, and the sales team,

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support the Country Head of Consulting and the local market unit sales teams to develop go-to-market plans and engage directly with existing and potential new clients at the Executive Level to position BT’s Consulting capability – including both proposal development, customer pre-sale capability presentation, task / project plan / pricing, scoping, and closure of SOW’s to ensure that billable utilisation targets are met;

  • As an industry or domain expert in Infrastructure Architecture plus one or more fields: Application architecture / infrastructure dependency mapping, NFV / SDN / SDDC, Information Security, Unified Communications, IoT and IT/OT, or other relevant technology domain areas.

  • Be able to lead a current state assessment on a client’s infrastructure environment, identify and articulate latent problems discovered, and develop a case for change;

  • Be an expert in data, pattern, correlation, matching, and analysis through a variety of tools;

  • Be able to architecture, articulate, and empirically prove the value of the proposed your future;

  • Leverage and iteratively improve the Intellectual Property of the knowledge pool, delivery best practices, and own quality peer review within your expertise domain to ensure customer satisfaction;

  • Lead delivery of Consulting projects, either as an individual contributor, or with a small project team to ensure that consulting projects are delivered profitably;

  • Role will require some international or domestic travel commensurate with business development and project delivery;

  • Work with the AMEA sales leadership to develop, cultivate, and grow BT’s ICV pipeline by acquiring new customers through value Consulting; and Within your Industry or domain expertise, provide mentoring and leadership during project delivery to upskill and develop the Consulting Practice.

Business Impact :

  • Drive revenue growth through identification and business development of consulting opportunities with existing clients

  • Co-creation and closure of a costed Consulting proposal to the market unit agreed customer

  • ICV pull through of BT product and services as approved by the Country Manager

Authority/Decision Making :

  • Provides input to commercial assessment of opportunities for final approval by GM/Director.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or relevant technical field required

  • MSCS, MSEE, or MBA

  • Demonstrable practical knowledge in the field of consulting methods, frameworks, and approaches

  • Certifications in area of expertise

Skills/Experience :

  • Minimum 10 years related work experience in customer facing organisations within the telecom, IT industry, or equivalent (military services, etc.)

  • Proven track record in selling high dollar value consulting services in a leadership role (5 or more years’ experience or equivalent)

  • Strong background in business consulting, process analysis design and improvement, cloud, application, and data centre strategy, digital transformation, and development of technology based business solutions
