BT Head of Security Delivery SEA / NEA in Singapore

Purpose Of Role:

Responsible for the operational delivery of a number of customer solutions and services for the SEA / NEA Security region. Delivery of this will be through the implementation of the policy, procedures, processes, systems, threat identification & response that provide security services and solutions for or on security infrastructure. Responsible for maintaining and building relationships with strategic stakeholders to minimise risks to BT. Responsible for leading the Security Delivery SEA / NEA resources to achieve delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsible for the prioritisation and allocation of resource in supporting the generation and protection of revenue by ensuring the delivery of a number of expert commercial security services to the external market.

Leadership for a multi-disciplined, multi-national team of security professionals and managers.

Responsible for developing and managing plans, budgets and resource for monitoring, maintaining and improving the integrity of the organisation's security information processes and systems. Key focus required on cost transformation and embracing innovative and agile resourcing methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for communicating and mobilising the aspects of the SEA / NEA security strategy pertinent to the services they deliver pan-BT and externally, including the awareness of the cost of security failure and people's personal responsibilities.

  • Define and translates the SEA / NEA Security strategy and policy into actionable programmes, processes, operations and architectural solutions for BT that support the business aims and takes into account risks and appropriate legal, regulatory constraints.

  • Responsible for the delivery and operations of security services that influences and/or provides the overall security infrastructure for BT and customers.

  • Responsible for the investigation, resolution and where necessary reporting of potential or actual breaches of protective security compliance.

  • Responsible for defining the strategies, techniques and procedures for the security vulnerability management.

  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships/partnership with customers, suppliers and stakeholders, including all Third Parties, joint ventures and OLOs, ensuring the cost effective provision of a professional Security service.

  • Responsible for developing and managing finance, budgets and resource including the setting of annual budgets, production of capital cases, QRF production, cost recovery.

  • Responsible for setting targets and strategy for improvement, productivity gains and cost efficiencies.

  • Provides leadership for a team of Security professionals and managers to build high performing and well motivated teams.

Business Impact:

  • Responsible for relationships with senior BT Management, up to President level, on systems issues relating to risk compliance, incident management affecting BT.

  • Responsible for leading in complex IT Security negotiations that may have significant business implications for BT.

  • Responsible for the management of commercially viable IT security solutions that support LoB performance and client relationships.

  • Ability to influence the behaviour and culture of functions outside of own business area and externally.

  • Responsible for the winning and retention of business/revenues through the delivery of expert security services to the external market and by the delivery of security assurance on BT’s products and services.

Authority/Decision Making:

  • Responsible for translating IT Security strategy for a number of services into actionable programmes, operations or activities.

  • Provides significant advice to the strategic direction of the business from a risk, compliance and incident management perspective.

  • Leadership and financial responsibility pan BT for a large diverse multi-disciplined team.

  • Ability to take the lead and make appropriate decisions to IT Security incidents and crisis management situations.

Qualifications:

  • Typically qualified to degree level, or equivalent professional experience and/or with recognised qualifications.

Skills/Experience:

  • Extensive IT and data network experience gained at senior level or has extensive experience gained at senior level in a commercial environment, both with a proven track record in security.

  • Extensive experience of stakeholder management and influencing skills, at board level, dealing with complex issues.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of risk management.

  • Recognised practitioner in Security management, network and information security and people security.

  • Excellent leader with a proven track record of building high performing, well motivated teams.
