Why this role matters
This role is to support the Group Revenue Assurance (RA) Team. To identify, correct and ensure installations, cease and re-grade orders are raised and processed in a timely, complete and accurate manner.
RA is reconciling inventories (Access, PORT, CPE and CPE maintenance charges) across all systems, liaising with 3rd party suppliers. This role is key to drive the alignment from the validation of discrepancies, with account teams, systems owners, process operators and the end customer.
The job holder will drive negotiations with impacted areas both internally and externally, to deliver revenue and cost opportunities delivering positive benefit to the bottom line.
The job holder should have a broad knowledge of BT products and services with
relevant, detailed system stack knowledge along with the ability to work within a virtual team environment.
Demonstration of ownership and resolution of issues, with minimum training and support is also required.
The job holder will be required to contact the account managers, customers and operational teams as needed, in order to remediate the issues identified where customer backbilling may affect customer relationships and involve significant costs / revenues to BT.
The individual should be able to work independently, but share knowledge, experience and best practice with other members of the virtual team.
The job holder will be required to process and system trains others in the Recovery area and gain training in return to cover cross skill/working requirements.
The job holder should also assist with root cause analysis and process improvements to drive best practice moving forward.
The individual will be required to support the Total Revenue Assurance Programme (TRAP) providing expertise in current tactical analysis and participating in user acceptance testing when required.
What you'll be doing
a. Understanding and analysis of end to end processes and the associated Revenue Assurance reconciliations, from order to bill across various systems, ensuring that all orders are received and processed in a timely, complete and accurate manner.
b. Analyse and report on the exception analysis, and manage resolutions with intra Revenue Assurance teams or operational business process owners.
c. Contact account managers, customers and operational teams as needed, in order to remediate the issues identified.
d. Maintain accurate records of progress, and coordinate with other parts of the organisation to make sure the customer impact is minimised when addressing the root cause
e. Share knowledge with the other team members and document processes to support the knowledge transfer
f. Work with the Pan–BT Cost Transformation programs and provide support and knowledge when requested
g. Update the live systems with the correct information where it is incorrect or incomplete.
h. Provide support and insight in driving comprehensive revenue/cost risk analysis to deliver margin and customer satisfaction improvements
i. Support the development of new reporting models and metrics, to improve controls and accuracy, timeliness and efficiency, TRC delivery to bill
j. Support the development of a control matrix to provide assurance on any BT legacy or strategic order journey to bill
k. Provide recommendations and pro-actively inform Revenue Assurance of any opportunity to prevent margin erosion.

5 Years of experience in similar roles
Advanced Excel or complex data management experience
Graduated in Engineering, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration preferrably, other degrees will be considered
