What you'll be doing

The individual will be responsible for managing a set of accounts within the public sector in the South West. They will be responsible for developing and executing growth within the Health, Housing, Universities and Local Devolved Government market. The key skills required are;

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills as he/she will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships at CIO and board level

  • Well organised, have the ability to distil customer’s objectives and drive account strategy, lead engagement with BT internal stakeholder groups and external supplier/partners

  • Financial and commercial acumen In order to manage P&L within their accounts

  • Establish and own personal relationships up to CxO level both internally and externally to strategically position BT for maximum competitive advantage

  • Develop and implement defined contact and account strategies to achieve high and wide effective relationships in targeted accounts, typically (but not limited to) at Board (CEO, COO, CIO) level

  • Experience in leading complex deals to deliver sales and increase revenue and gross margin

  • Working with existing and prospective clients to deliver innovative propositions as a vehicle to deliver increasing value to those clients and grow BT’s base of business

  • Write, produce and present high quality, commercially accurate, customer focused documentation to customers and stakeholders alike

  • Provide management reporting, to include (but not limited to) Margin and Revenue forecasting, sales/bid opportunity progress reports as required

  • To follow the latest trends and developments of the market and adapt these to apply in the management of accounts

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Leadership skills, the ability to lead a team/virtual team to win new business

  • Commercial acumen and sound account management experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • An ability to develop productive working relationships

  • A hunger to deliver results and drive our business forwards
