The Mobile sector is a significant P&L within Wholesale and Ventures and is responsible for managing our Mobile Network Operators customers, the relationships, contracts and complex service needs. Our services underpin their connectivity and truly power the mobile economy. As the industry evolves to 5G considerable technological change will occur driving new use cases across all areas of the economy.
This is an Account Management role reporting to the Client Lead ( Customer X ) Mobile Sector. The role holder will be responsible for the management of Customer X in the UK with emphasis on developing and growing the services that BT Wholesale & Ventures provide to support their Mobile Network. Customer X are one of BT’s largest accounts and consume a wide range of bespoke and complex managed services to support a rapidly changing technology environment and the growth of 4G to 5G.
What you'll be doing
As an Account Manager, it’ll be down to you to successfully enhance our relationships with our key clients. Combining expert product knowledge, a deep understanding of our industry, and interpersonal and leadership skills, you’ll be responsible for deepening some of our most important relationships – and playing a central role in our commercial success. Here you’ll:
Take responsibility for a number of key accounts
Support the development of our customer contact strategy
Proactively seek new business development opportunities with our clients
Take responsibility for the performance of a defined customer base
Be an expert in BT’s product and services offering
Understand our industry, our competitors, and how we compare
Support the Head of Sales on projects when needed

Degree or relevant job experience
Ability to deliver business objectives and stretching sales targets.
Ability to use insight to make decisions to win, develop and retain profitablebusiness.
High level of sales leadership.
Able to create and implement effective communication channels/techniques to drivemotivation and business performance within the organisation.
Good motivation, coaching and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation & influencing skills.
Ability to network and build strong relationships at senior level
Clear demonstration of solution sales technique and good commercial acumen and financial knowledge.
Experience of driving virtual teams to deliver necessary business results.
In-depth knowledge of latest developments in the industry, acting as a highly knowledgeable professional in their field.
Experience of working within and comprehensive understanding of mobile industry.
Track record in selling solutions to major customers, ideally in the mobile market place.
