Why this role matters
This role will be part of a team of people who have the accountability and responsibility for designing, developing and executing BT’s global talent acquisition strategy. The role holder will work in partnership with the recruitment delivery teams, workforce planning, reward, finance, talent management and HR leads to understand both current and future demands across all geographies to articulate recruitment performance pan BT (globally), providing regular insight, benchmarking BT talent acquisition against best in class.
This is a critical role within the Operational Excellence team, and the work completed in this area will underpin the entire functions success over the coming years.
The role holder will be the Recruitment Technology, Systems and Experience Analyst, working to ensure we’re providing a single view of the truth to help run and improve the function and to add value, and inform strategic business decisions.
What you'll be doing
This is a critical role in the Resourcing function to ensure the efficient allocation of resources across a team that makes 15k hires per year globally, and handles 250k applications / year. The responsibility here is to lead on three areas;
Acting at the Systems Analyst, and super-user of recruitment technology for the UK & European team in the short term, broadening out to global (India, Americas) in the future. Across BT and EE, all types of recruitment from entry level to executive.
Working closely with the Technology Services Organisation (TSO), the HR Shared Services Systems teams, and the Recruitment team on Candidate and Hiring Manager Experience related projects. E.g. lead on the implementation of a new recruitment technology system (combination of ATS & CRM) with multiple integrations to cope with BT’s complex, multi brand, multi-regional requirements, and full range of hiring needs from entry level volume (front line, apprenticeships, grads) through to professional and senior executive hiring.
Own all user journey and experience mapping and process documentation for the function
Get involved in improving the governance, policy to help ensure the function remains legally compliant (externally) and is also simple, and easy to do business with (internally and externally).
Work in a small team who will take responsibility for system administration, and system/process/experience related work.
Work with 3rd party technology vendors to ensure system upgrades and improvements are planned, tested and communicated out effectively. Take a lead on the relationship management of our 3rd party technology vendors.

Recruitment technology expert – must have played a key role in the implementation of an ATS and/or CRM, in a leadership, project management or technical capacity
Highly organised and strategic mindset, able to juggle conflicting priorities and make sensible, realistic judgements on the level of change across the entire function
Expertise in data analysis (advanced MS Excel, and reporting tools experience)
Track record of achievement fixing and building in the field of systems administration
Super user of a recruitment system
Awareness of and passion for the recruitment technology market, where’s it’s headed and what good looks like
Experience delivering process automation through software
