Purpose of Role:

This is a critical and high profile role within the Security Category, supporting both Directs and In-directs procurement, across both BT’s internal stakeholder base, Cytadel, Technology Services and BT’s go to market customers. This role will have direct overall responsibility to manage a key line of business along with high profile customer bids. BT Security is projected to grow at 20% YoY.

The role will also support the Cyber Assessment Lab on taking new products and vendors to market along with supporting Security Vendor Management on “Go to Market” strategy. Candidates would ideally come from a software, hardware or networks procurement background. The ideal candidate will have SC clearance.

What you'll be doing

  • Global ownership & support of Procurement categories assigned from time to time by Category GM / LoB VPs which entails:-

o Agreed approach on global vs. regional vs. local buying in the category across multiple lines of business.

o Stakeholder engagement plan covering all users who spend in the category and getting an Exec Sponsor (CEO/CFO) for the categories.

o Category strategy in place & agreed with stakeholders covering sourcing plans , category governance & risks

o Pan-LoB demand management and regular benchmarking of global market data and competitor analysis.

o Plan in place to address tail of suppliers (where appropriate) & adherence to approved supplier list.

o Knowledge of key suppliers in global supply base & the risks in the category.

o Pan-LoB spend management and relationship with main influencers of the spend in the category.
