BT Service Optimization Manager (BT Cybersecurity Services) in Madrid, Spain
Purpose Of Role :
Deliver and verify the implementation and operational end to end delivery for a subset of an IT security service and for a subset of the IT Security strategy, policy, procedures, processes, systems, threat identification & response that provide IT security services and solutions for or on security infrastructure.
Manages the operational relationship with the relevant stakeholders to minimise risks to BT.
Delivery of a subset of expert commercial security services to the external market.
May involve management for a team of security professionals, managers or Team Members within a specific function or service.
Deliver and verify plans and budgets for monitoring, maintaining and improving the integrity of the organisation's security information processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Responsible for communicating the relevant IT security procedure and/or process pan-BT.
To deliver aspects of an IT and/or Network Security procedure, processes, operations and architectural solution or security build standard for BT that support the security strategy and policy and takes into account risks and appropriate legal, regulatory constraints.
To support the delivery of a discrete security service that influences and/or provides the security infrastructure for BT and customers.
Completes complex Information Assurance risk assessments and compliance audits and advise on mitigation strategies.
Will be responsible for the security SLA (policy maintenance and detection, prevention, mitigation of security breaches and security incidents. Any "attack" or "breach" in security policy that compromises continuity (eg DDoS), confidentiality (eg, theft, leakage, loss of information) or integrity (eg impersonation,manipulation).To undertake complex testing and validation of hardware, firmware and software for possible impacts on security.
To deliver security vulnerability management. Support Security compliance relationships with national Government or industry bodies.
Manages the operational relationships with specific customers, suppliers and stakeholders, including all Third Parties, joint ventures and OLOs, ensuring the cost effective provision of a professional Security service.
Contribute to elements of the financial management / P&L responsibility of the department including the setting of annual budgets, production of capital cases, QRF production, cost recovery.
Responsible for the delivery of commercially viable security services to generate revenue and retain business.
Responsible for the delivery of the target improvement, productivity gains and cost efficiencies.
Manages a team, or matrixed team, of Security professionals and managers to build high performing and well motivated teams.
Business Impact :
Advises BT, on systems issues relating to risk compliance, incident management affecting BT.
Provide support as required for IT Security contract negotiations that may have business implications for BT.
Responsible for the delivery of commercially viable IT security solutions that support LoB performance and client relationships.
Ability to influence the behaviour and culture of functions in own business area.
Provide specialist security advice and consultancy for the winning and retention of business/revenues through the delivery of expert security services to the external market and by the delivery of security assurance on BT's products and services.
Authority/Decision Making :
To deliver aspects of the security programmes that supports IT security strategy and policy.
Provides advice to the business from a risk, compliance and incident management perspective within own programme area.
May involve management of a team in the delivery of a security service or solution.
Provide support for IT Security incidents and during crisis management situations.
Recognised technical qualification or accreditation in field of security specialism.
IT/ Telco Engineering Degree.
IT and data network experience.
Relevant experience of stakeholder management and good interpersonal skills.
Relevant operational knowledge and experience of risk management.
Knowledge of Security management, network and information security, people security and running of one or more services within a Security Operations Centre.
Excellent management skills with the ability build high performing, well motivated teams.
Fluent Spanish and English required.
Valid work permit to work in Spain,
