What you'll be doing

  • I will be accountable for leading the strategic resource, direction and management of investigations relating to Logical Security, Revenue & Corporate Fraud, Physical and acquisitive crime and other related risks that may impact the BT brand and infrastructure.

  • I will rise to the additional challenges set by senior management and create an agile team to manage risks appropriately, where necessary, leading investigations directly.

  • I will be accountable for appropriate decisions during critical Security incidents and crisis management situations.

  • I will develop the correct processes and encourage close working relationships to enable appropriate disclosure with external partners and Law Enforcement Agencies to effectively reduce risks to BT. Representing BT where required to develop partnerships to achieve both protect and commercial objectives.

  • I will oversee and manage the need for performance figures to assist with management information for weekly focus meeting, BARC and quarterly Lob requirements.

  • I will have proven experience in setting strategies to address complex Investigations and display effective investigation management skills including planning, interviews, case preparation and presentation.

  • I have an understanding both legal restrictions and corporate boundaries / appetite for investigation methods and techniques and the frameworks that we work within.

  • I will show flexibility and innovation in working practices and leading change.

  • I have the ability to seek and influence opinions on investigations and business practices.

* Your role is also subject to you gaining and keeping the necessary level of Security Clearance needed to undertake your work. The result of the security clearance vetting is not subject to appeal. Failure to successfully achieve and maintain the necessary level of Security Clearance may see any offer of employment with BT cease or withdrawn or may cause a role change or possibly lead to termination of employment. *

IN THE FIRST 12 MONTHS YOU'LL:

  • I will ensure all incidents presented to Threat Intelligence & Investigations are investigated lawfully, ethically and expeditiously.

  • I will ensure that appropriate and detailed recommendations are identified where appropriate to minimise impact to the business, its staff and its customers.

  • Where threat, harm and risk to BT is identified I will ensure that recommendations for existing and future risk mitigation are owned and appropriate plans are in place to rectify.

  • I will own a review existing investigation processes and develop a detailed programme to professionalise investigative practices incorporating training standards, qualification and accreditation, continued professional development and continued improvement.

  • I will ensure TI&I operate proactively to identify emerging threats to the business, implement appropriate response strategies, thus minimising the impact and economic loss to BT, its staff and its customers.
