The role holder supports Global Accounts as a business partner. He/she will work closely with the account teams that support Global Accounts and impacts on financial performance and business unit strategy. The scope of the support is global.
Responsibilities include reporting & providing commentary and analysis of financial information and supporting business process improvements.
Leads budgeting and monthly forecasting.
This role will involve proactively driving the business forward
What you’ll be doing
Personally accountable for ensuring financial accounting policies and process is followed.
Ensure internal customers, both finance & business teams, are supplied with adequate and accurate financial information a timely basis.
Responsibilities include organizing monthly account review and outlook update. Review of shared service center support and work output.
Responsibilities include support of risk and opportunity reporting, service tower reporting, other standard reporting and support of the month end close.
Business case support for evaluation of investments in GMA accounts.
Contributes towards the development of Business Unit / functional finance strategy
Knowledge of BT financial process and specific financial systems, strong core finance knowledge OR acts as an expert in one or more finance work areas - specialist roles at this level should be recognised internally for expertise
Gives financial guidance to senior leadership teams and guides more junior roles and advises and coaches on financial policy and practices that support BT's long term goals
Ownership for delivery of planning, facilitation and completion of finance programmes (or sponsors/guides substantial components of smaller scale projects)
Helps set agendas, provides insight and develops best practice on own finance work area(s) or specialism
May act as a business partner or specialist role for specific business unit
Responsible for building and maintaining strong manager level relationships both internally and externally with customers, suppliers or other major bodies. Educates, supports and challenges senior managers /senior stakeholders (typically Global Accounts / Head of level –UK) and is considered a strategic business
Personally accountable for ensuring financial accounting policies and process is followed. Suggests resolution to complex issues and across LoB boundaries (guidance sought in most cases) and/or advises on specialist area
May have direct people / resource management responsibility (e.g. in large teams) and / or review work of more junior roles

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
5 years in a Management Reporting Role
