What you'll be doing:

As Head of Bid Management – Shared Service Centre, you will be in charge of:

  • Identifying and driving sustainable improvements in the WB process to drive profitable growth, including driving change across BT to enable the WB process.

  • Be responsible to ensure that New business is bid managed effectively such that all known risks are clearly documented and understood.

  • Through their team take ownership, ensuring effective governance, and control of bids operating in the shared service centre.

  • Maintaining and improving the quality of the proposals – resulting in increased win-rates.

  • Ensure that senior management are fully briefed with recommendations, in order that decisions can be taken in an open and honest way with full transparency of all commercial issues.

  • Develop staff; drive an effective onshore/offshore resourcing model to maximise cost transformation.

  • Understand and identify changing market dynamics of the Region, Sector, and Vertical and make recommendations on appropriate response.

  • Role holder is responsible for efficiently driving profitable growth across GS; with specific responsibility for Bid Management Shared Service Centre. Defining strategy for shared service centre and making recommendations for global bid management strategy whilst applying an understanding of the telecoms managed service market place across UK and Europe

Professional skills:

  • Detailed knowledge of bid management and ability to coach and develop all grades of bid manages (junior bid manager through to principle bid manager). is a must

  • Identification and management of risk in large complex deals sits with this role is a must

  • Able to lead and make critical decisions in a complex, pressured and ambiguous environment. Managing conflicting priorities and flexing resource to business need. is a must

  • Able to influence and negotiate at a senior level. is a must

  • Management of large Team >20 (managing managers) is a must

Language skills:

English on a fluent level is a must
